Rooted in The Hague, we work to make it the world’s #1 impact city, and to turn the Binckhaven into the largest impact campus in Europe.

Our story · fixing the future since 2008

2008

Unknown’s roots begin — a boutique practice building entrepreneurial ecosystems for universities and governments, launching the €6M Holland Programme on Entrepreneurship with Erasmus, TU Delft & Leiden.

2010

We build the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship (ECE) — today one of Europe’s leading centres for entrepreneurship research and executive education.

2011

Named GEN ‘Country of the Year’ in Shanghai for the world’s best entrepreneurship week, across 150 countries.

2012

We launch Get in the Ring — now the world’s most global startup competition, live in 200+ cities and 100+ countries.

2015

We join the national board of StartupDelta (now Techleap) and initiate the StartupDelta Summit, the country’s largest ecosystem gathering.

2018

Our ecosystem activities converge into the newly formed Unknown Group — one stronger platform to fuel founders.

2023

Titaan opens with the Municipality of The Hague — a 13,000 m² hub in a former tobacco factory.

Today

We’re growing Unknown Campus toward 100,000 m², alongside Unknown University and Unknown Ventures — backing founders in water, food, energy and climate.
