Head of Sales
We’re looking for a Head of Sales to lead our sales team at Unknown Group. You should have a proven track record commercially in business development, sales and/or closing deals with enterprise organizations and have an affinity with innovation and venturing. Ideally, you’re assertive and used to working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
You’ll be responsible for the partnerships and sales strategy across our Unknown Group brands (including Get in the Ring, Global School for Entrepreneurship and Gribbio). Reporting to the CEO and in regular contact with the 4 other members of the management team, you’ll be leading the sales team. You’ll also be working closely with the other team-leads responsible for different units within Unknown Group. You’ll have the opportunity to travel occasionally to attend client meetings.
The Head of Sales will manage all stages of the sales process from lead conversion to successful sale completion.
- Lead the sales team in executing the strategy
- Build upon and improve our sales proposition from €50K – €2M with a recurring model
- Drive and achieve revenue results in line with sales objectives
- Negotiate and close agreements with large customers
- Optimize sales processes and tools to increase performance
- Guide and support our sales representatives in Dubai, Boston, Singapore, Bangalore and London
- Grow the team in size and skill through hiring and development plans.
Key skills and experience
In terms of experience, you will be / have;
- An experienced, credible and high-performing financial professional with a proven track record of success in business sales
- A deep understanding of business valuations and the ways in which acquisitions are constructed
- Ability to work credibly with a broad range of business owners to provide guidance and support
- Able to work across multiple functions
- Provide leadership and guidance to fellow senior management and direct reports
- Have experience of managing business sales processes and working to identify credible buyers
- Have strong commercial and financial acumen
- 3 – 6 years of experience demonstrated success in direct sales
- Experience selling in the B2B space
- Passionate team lead with experience in leading and scaling teams
- Native or close to native level of English
- Availability to be based in Rotterdam full-time and willingness to travel occasionally
